At first she was having no part of any of it. She didn't want the hygentist (Ms. C) looking at her much less looking in her mouth. But as you will see in the pics Ms. C had a stuffed gator that had teeth & his own toothbrush... after Ms C. brushed the gator's teeth, squirted water & air into his mouth and then let B be in charge of the toothbrush B kinda warmed up. She finally let Ms. C squirt water (B thought this was the greatest!) and air into her mouth. She also let her look in her mouth with the little dental mirror... well sorta, B was holding the mirror so Ms. C was looking the best she could.
All was going well until the Dentist come in - B rolled over & pressed her head into my chest and wasn't budging. B just doesn't do well with men she doesn't know & sometimes even with men she does know. The dentist was able to get a little peek at her teeth & said not to stress her... unless she was having problems we would try again in 6months. Lucky for us our dentist has children of his own so he knows how they can be. Hubby & I are trying to decide if we are going to carry her back to our dentist in 6months **OR** if we are going to find her a female pediatric dentist... we had to change pediatrician's for the same reason. Has anyone else ever had that problem?
Well, our trip to the dentist ended with B letting Ms. C carry her to the toy chest & letting her get not 1, not 2 but 3 toys! & let's not forget about her new toothbrush that came in it's own little purse.
